Foxtails

Christian and I took Lily to the vet yesterday to get her checked out and cure her ear infection. We had to take her back this morning so they could sedate her to clean out her ears. Yeah, it was THAT bad. They found three of these babies stuck in her ear:

Um. Yuck. These little suckers are just nasty. Apparently, they work their way into the ear and fur and get stuck. We have to give her medication for the next few weeks: a pill to ingest and 5-6 drops in each ear twice a day, 12 hours apart. Good grief. At least she won’t be itchy and feel irritation in there anymore. *whew*
